Gym haul (shop for less) #2

Hey guys,

I know i've been really bad lately at posting on time but I promise i'll get better! Recently I have gotten a gym membership and go to the gym at least 3 times a week and I am already starting to see results. I fee l more energetic (and can run up my stairs without almost passing out wahooo) but seriously i recommend it to people wondering whether to start, doooo it. You can go whenever you like and do whichever workouts suit you best, but as you start to become a regular you think ( uh oh I better get some proper gym clothes) so I went on a 'gym haul' and this is what I got.

Usually a pair of nike running leggings would cost between £40-70 but don't be fooled there are many other good quality gym clothing lines in other high street stores so I went on a hunt.

Sales are a girls best friend (Shop for less #1)

Hey guys,

SORRY!! for not posting on tuesday, I have been working for hours on end so had no time to post but never fear I'm back for the first 'shop for less' post which will be a monthly segment featured on my blog which I have mentioned previously.

I am a sucker for a good sale and I have 3 outfits lined up which I paid pennies for so I can't wait to show you them. (sorry for the poor photos the weather was not my friend).

Outfit #1:

I picked up this pretty mint green dress from Topshop for £10 and paired it with my essential Asos chunky white sandals, which makes this outfit perfect for a summers day or something a bit more fancy. 

Outfit #2: 

When I saw this pair in Zara Oxford Circus I couldn't resist it was just so cheap! T-shirt £5.99 and Skirt £3.99 which I paired with a black Primark backpack £8 and my Topshop black sliders. 

Outfit #3: 

This outfit is one of my favourites as I love the Topshop Leggings £12.99 as they have a soft texture which reminds me of a bikini sort of material. The top is Zara £5.99 and the bag Topshop £15.99.
Again, I paired this with my chunky white Asos sandals.

Review: Rimmel London Colour Rush 'Give me a cuddle'

Hey guys,

Due to the heat wave in the south east at the moment (not that i'm complaining) I can't stand wearing a ton of makeup and try to avoid any face makeup as it can leave a sweaty and heavy feeling on the face. However, every girl loves a bit of lipstick and I was on the hunt recently to find a lipstick/balm which was easy to use, added a pop of colour and most importantly not feel heavy and uncomfortable in the heat of the day.

 So, as I was looking I came across the drug store lip balm 'Rimmel London Colour Rush' (and thought bargain!) and bought the shade, 'Give me a cuddle' one of seven colours in the range which is a soft pink; perfect for summer. However, the colour was quite misleading as it came out quite dark rather than a baby pink (but I kind of like it). The balms come in a crayon form and are similar to Clinique Chubby Sticks, Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons and the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stains (However, Rimmel is one of my favourite drugstore brands so I thought what the heck).

I must admit it's not the best product ever but it does it's job and is a reasonable price at just £5.99 at Boots. I mean it's moisturising and long lasting and all that jazz but I would suggest trying the Clinique chubby stick as an alternative, however, if your on a budget this works well as a quick fix. Sorry Rimmel but i'm going to have to give it a 3/5.

Brandy Melville Lovin'

Hey guys,

Yesterday as I was shopping about in London I decided to track down the newly opened Brandy Melville store in 33 Kings Road. It is an italian based company with a few stores dotted in America and now here! I've heard good things of the brand but I wanted to go and have a look for myself. When I got there the shop is so nice and there are small details such as vintage hangers and furniture that make the experience so much better. The clothes are all so well made and extremely soft! (I can't stop stroking my purchases) and the best part is that the majority of items are cheaper than topshop!!

I bought some grey maul shorts £19, Navy striped T-shirt £14, Grey stripe T-shirt £19 and a navy skater skirt £20, I could of bought the whole shop but I had to stop myself. There was also a cute selection of jewellery but I was running out of time so had to give it a miss (but theres always next time woo). I recommend you all to go and have a look, not many people are familiar with the brand  at the moment and they constantly update their range which means that you can walk down the street without being scared that someone will have the same thing as you!

My top 5 tips to stop bloating

Hey guys,

A lot of people are talking about being 'bikini ready' at the moment, but some are going on crash diets which can be damaging to your health and is unnecessary starvation. So, I have come up with my top 5 tips to stop bloating to make sure you look and feel your best without the silly diets. Bloating isn't excess fat but it is 'water weight' which can be brought on by eating the wrong foods and can cause some physical discomfort but can be easily avoided by following some of these steps:

1. Drink more water:

You probably hear this a lot and my mum is constantly telling me 'drink more water polly' and after years of just shrugging and going 'yes mum' I've realised its amazing how much of a difference just drinking 1 cup of water and hour can make.

(Get a cute drink bottle with a nice pattern or inspirational message, it helps me want to drink more)

2. Stand up straight:

So this one is a bit weird as you wouldn't think your posture would do much to stop bloating. However, slouching tends to make your tummy look bigger than it actually is and is harmful on the back, so by being proud and standing up tall your abs pull themselves in.

3. Don't eat too quickly:

If you don't chew properly it can cause air swallowing which leads to bloating. So, take time and chew your meal which should last approx 30. mins, I feel that I am more satisfied and tend to eat less if I eat more slowly.

4. Put down the fizzy drinks:

Don't get me wrong I love a good coke every now and again but it can cause gas to get trapped in your tummy which is why you tend to feel a bit uncomfortable after consuming fizzy drinks. Try slowly switching to water or make a fruity smoothie, it will make a big difference.

5. Try a food swap:

This one can be hard because i always crave chocolate and naughty foods between or after meals, but try to swap 2 foods for a healthier option and slowly build, this will cut some fat out of your diet and hopefully leave you feeling more energetic and comfortable.

Before I let you all know these tips I thought I would have a go at them and see if it made any difference to my tummy, and after just 3 days I started to notice a dramatic differece. I was feeling quite bloated and uncomfortable but now i'm on cloud 9.
